Our Pedigree

Scape’s origins are built on a spirit of collaboration as a means of producing successful results. Scape System Build Ltd was conceived by the 7 full members of the CLASP Consortium, 6 of which are Scape shareholding authorities.

The CLASP Consortium has been in existence since 1957 working closely and collaboratively with its Membership of 47 Local Authorities. Membership also included the Department for Education, the Defence Estates and the Scottish Office. Although still in existence, the CLASP Consortium is not active, having transferred its business and staff to Scape on the 1 April 2006.

Successful Buildings Scape acts as a trading company for the CLASP Consortium and is licensed to deliver the Consortium's intellectual property supporting it with consultancy services. Scape is able to draw on the expertise of its staff and has access to the Consortium’s extensive archive.

An agile approach Scape has evolved through different economic conditions to deliver exceptional results consistently. Based on our continued success, our services have expanded to include Scape Design, Scape Procure and Scape Consult.

Delivering economy Scape brings economy and efficiency to the construction process. We seek to achieve this on projects which respect the environment and are an enduring asset for their communities.

Serving the public sector Scape is also a managing agent for the East Midlands Property Alliance (empa) which is an alliance of Local Authorities based in the East Midlands.

Scape has at its heart a desire to serve the Public Sector by utilising the best that the Private Sector can offer.
