Scape Zero

These designs have been developed as part of an EMDA funded research project to develop fully integrated Zero Carbon performing designs for primary schools (1FE and 2FE) as well as a highly flexible secondary school teaching block. The energy uses in all three buildings have been minimised and fully modelled by Atkins and have been found to actually be carbon negative in conjunction with onsite renewable technologies (mainly photovoltaics). Detailed costings have also been carried out which give very good results including the renewable systems. These designs are now ready to use by any public sector organisation. Scape will work with clients who use the approach to monitor the actual energy use in the completed building and set up / work with client based ‘energy teams’ to make sure the ambitious energy targets are met or even surpassed.
