The building is part single storey providing accommodation which includes a hall and hydro therapy pool. The classrooms form a two storey building with a central area for group activities. The whole new build area is in the order of 3500m². The cost of the project is in the order of £9.5m which includes the remodelling of an existing school on the site and extensive external works.

Modified Scape Technology has been utilised in the design providing a helpful discipline in the structure. The external cladding is mainly brickwork with some render. The project’s external design has been particularly challenging as it responds to the sensitive aspects of the site.

GS Tomlinson are the contractor for the project, appointed under Birmingham City Council's framework arrangements.
