Parrenthorn School, Bury MBC

A two storey extension to the Parrenthorn School will provide 18 classrooms and a hall together with associated facilities. The project comprises approximately 2500m2 of new build and remodelling to the existing 1970’s school.  The total value of the scheme is in the order of £5m.
 
The construction of the extension takes advantage of the Scape Technology introducing new elements of structure to improve performance and economy. The building is clad in mixture of brickwork and insulated panels. The roof has a gentle curve with a curved beam structure.
 
This is the second project Scape has undertaken with Bury MBC in recent years. The first being a primary school. The contractor will be traditionally procured.
