Mary Elliot SEN, Walsall Council

The Mary Elliot School is the first project to be let under the Scape/Willmott Dixon framework. As such it has moved quickly from the client brief to production. Enabling work to deal with uncertain ground conditions are due to start on site shortly.
 
 Willmott Dixon have engaged Hunter and Partners as architect to undertaken the design. Walsall MBC are participating in the design process through workshops and by providing project management.
 
 The building is approximately 3250m2 and estimated to cost in the order of £6m. 
 
 The Scape Technology has been enhanced to provide a curved atrium and performance space. Mary Elliott is an SEN school and as such contains many features to enable it to meet the needs of the children and staff.
