David Mackness Prepares for Retirement
I am pleased to announce that Scape has appointed Mark Robinson to be its new
Chief Executive. Mark joined Scape on 5 October and will officially take over
from me on 1 January 2010. Mark has a construction background in Local Government
and specialises in business improvement, procurement and corporate governance.
Mark joins Scape at an exciting time.
The company is working with Local Authorities in the East Midlands and nationally
to effectively deliver projects with a value in the order of £750m while gaining
added social benefits for the community that large works programmes can bring.
Scape continues to develop its method of construction, Scape Technology, moving
toward zero carbon. The company supports clients and contractors engaged in Building
Schools for the Future providing new build technology and refurbishment advice.May I take this opportunity to say how much I have enjoyed my work leading Scape
and the associations I have had with so many clients, consultants and contractors.
What better work is there than to encourage people to develop and provide good
places in which to live and teach.
