Refelting Programme
CLASP building owners have developed a refelting programme to assist in the maintenance
of flat roofs. It is based on Iocal products and contains a range of built up
and single ply specifications.
The Programme offers the following benefits:-
Guarantees - 10 or 20 years product manufacturer guarantees are available.
Design Integrity - the refelting system is designed to be compatible with the existing decks.
The programme can be used with confidence since its performance has been validated
by Scape.
Pre-detailed - the documentation includes all the standard detailing and specification required
for a project. This includes repair work to roof decks and roof lights and alterations
necessary for the inclusion of insulation. The building surveyor therefore needs
only to define the scope of the works.
Pre-tendered - prices are based on a schedule of rates. The nominated Contractors and the
product range were selected by a two stage tendering process. This was organised
by Scape under Local Authority Rules, and removes the necessity for time consuming
tendering on each individual project.
