Meeting Guideline Targets
The CLASP system was designed to meet the DFES and other public sector guideline
costs. Scape also follows these guidelines. Tenders received for schools confirm
that this can be successfully achieved.
A recent mental health project showed the buildings designed around the CLASP
system were 5% below the DHSS guidelines for that type of building.
The Scape approach adds value for the client into every element of the process.
The structure also allows the building to have a light footprint and accept a degree of movement. These features make the system excellent for
avoiding abnormal foundation costs on brown field sites where the ground is uncertain.
